Here is a picture of us with our Farmall Tractor.

Hello, my name is Ann Getzelman, and with me in the photo is my fiance, Brian Sebastian. The farm we currently live on has been in the family for nearly 100 years. I grew up showing steers and my pet horse in 4-H, winning Grand Champion Steer at the 1971 IL Kane County Fair. My father, Arthur Getzelman (now age 83), began a Chianina-Angus cow herd and AI'ed them to ChiAngus or MaineAnjou bulls. Many steers from our herd went on to win many county fairs in Illinois and Wisconsin. One steer, PF Pure Class Jasper, sold to Senator John Putney of Gladbrook, Iowa. "Jasper" went on to win 21 out of 22 jackpot shows earning him the title of "The Winningest Steer of 1986".

I feel Boer Goats are a similar just smaller version of show steers, with an added bonus of it hurting a lot less when a goat steps on your toe vs a 1250 pound steer! All of our does are pets and very quiet, making their offspring ideal for youngsters with 4-H projects.

Please feel free to contact me for your Show doe or Show wether goat needs. Thank you for visiting Fox Prairie Farm Boer Goats.
